How we research, write and update our guides.

What we publish

PINKNINA LIVING publishes practical guides on interior design, decoration and home organisation, a gallery of illustrative interiors and free planning tools. We choose topics based on the decisions readers actually face, questions sent to us and gaps we find in existing advice.

How a guide is researched

• Measurements and quantities (clearances, heights, rug and table sizes, paint coverage, lighting levels) are cross-checked against manufacturer guidance, published ergonomic and building standards and widely used design references. Where sources disagree we give a range and explain the trade-off.
• Units: we give metric measurements first and imperial in brackets, rounded sensibly. Product sizes vary by country and brand, so we tell readers to check actual dimensions before buying.
• Safety: anything involving electrics, gas, structural changes or wet-room waterproofing is flagged as work for a qualified professional. We do not give advice that requires a licence to carry out.
• No invented experience: we do not present fictional projects, clients, testimonials or personal anecdotes as real.

Writing and editing

Guides are written and edited by the PINKNINA LIVING editorial team. Each guide is edited for accuracy, clarity and usefulness before publication: we check that it answers the question in its title, that numbers are consistent across the site and that the advice can be applied in an ordinary home. We use digital tools, including AI-assisted drafting and proofreading, as part of our workflow; every published guide is reviewed and edited by the team, who are responsible for its content.

Updates and corrections

Each guide shows its publication date and, when it has been materially revised, the date of the last update. We review guides regularly and when readers report problems. If we get something wrong we correct it promptly; significant corrections are noted in the article.

Independence and advertising

PINKNINA LIVING is funded by display advertising. Advertisers have no influence over what we write, and ads are labelled "Advertisement" and kept visually separate from editorial content. We do not publish sponsored articles, accept free products in exchange for coverage or use affiliate links. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed clearly on the page concerned and here.
